This off-site visit will provide Federal Technology Symposium attendees with an immersive experience at Fort Bragg’s 82nd Airborne Innovation Lab (AIL), where cutting-edge rapid prototyping and dual-use technologies are accelerating warfighter innovation. Attendees will engage with engineers, military personnel, and innovation leaders to understand how the lab is developing, testing, and deploying new capabilities to meet warfighter needs in real-time.
Attendees will also gain insight into the LTG Gavin Joint Innovation Outpost (JIOP) and its future role in Army modernization, highlighting the JIOP as a hub for technology scouting, capability development, and operational experimentation.
A key focus of the visit will be how North Carolina’s innovation ecosystem can support and collaborate with AIL and JIOP, demonstrating how state organizations and resources contribute to defense innovation by bridging military challenges with commercial and academic solutions.
